Backyard Green Films recently had the chance to work with James Reams and the Barnstormers again, this time on a music video from their current Bluegrass/Americana/Rockabilly CD, Rhyme and Season.
It would seem reasonable then, that the video would be filmed in the the ghost towns and badlands of the desert southwest. And that’s precisely what transpired last month, when our crew joined the band on a road trip between San Diego and Arizona during a video shoot for their single, “Long Gone Out West Blues”.
Taking inspiration from the rugged desert, distant snowcapped peaks, roadside relics, and classic rock formations lining the 350 miles of highway between San Diego and Phoenix, our crew thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate and conspire with James Reams and his ‘band of’ Barnstormers.
The song was previously recorded in New York and Phoenix, and the Backyard Green Films team just wrapped our video editing and production process. “Long Gone Out West Blues” was officially released this week on YouTube … we hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed making it!
